Wireframe
- A simple, plain layout of a web page, showing where things go (headings, images, buttons and menus) without colour, photography or final wording.
- It lets everyone agree how a page works before the expensive part starts. Changing a box on a wireframe takes minutes; changing a finished design or a built page takes far longer. Wireframes also keep early conversations on structure, such as what comes first on the page and where the buy button goes, rather than on whether the blue is quite the right blue.
Example The wireframe put the product photo on the left and the price and basket button on the right, and we agreed it before any design began.
