Mockup
- A finished-looking picture of how a web page will appear, with the real colours, fonts, images and wording, made before anything is built.
- It is what you actually sign off. A mockup is static, so you cannot click through it, but it shows exactly how the design will look, which makes problems with readability, colour or layout easy to spot. Changes at this stage cost far less than changes once the site has been programmed.
Example The mockup of the homepage was approved on Tuesday and the build began on Wednesday.
