Product variant

noun

Topic: Selling online

  1. One of several versions of the same product, such as a different size, colour or material.
  2. A T-shirt in four sizes and three colours is one product with twelve variants. Each variant usually has its own SKU and stock level, and sometimes its own price or photo. Handling variants well matters: customers should be able to pick their option easily, and see straight away if it is out of stock.

Example The blue medium variant sold out, but the product page still showed the other eleven.
