Topic: Stock, data and integrations

  1. Software or website functionality written specifically for one business’s requirements, rather than adapted from an off-the-shelf product or template.
  2. It suits projects that ready-made platforms handle badly: unusual pricing rules, links to in-house systems, trade or customer extranets, calculators, or data that has to be moved from an old system. It costs more than a template, but you are not working around someone else’s limits, and you do not pay a platform commission or monthly fee for the privilege.

Example The standard shop software could not price the product by the square metre, so the quote calculator was developed bespoke.
