Over 11
Years of Designing and
Developing E-commerce websites
In September 1997,
FutureStore started life as
IDx Interactive - a web
production company, founded by
Lawrence Brendish and Patric
Ovenden based in Redruth,
Cornwall. It quickly developed a
reputation for producing
eye-catching, functional
websites and intranet
applications and worked for
companies, including LloydsTSB,
Verio/AOL and the NHS.
With the emergence of online
retail in the late 1990's our
focus quickly turned to
designing and developing bespoke
ecommerce websites, typically
costing between £4,000 and
£12,000. With the wealth
of experience we had -
developing over 100 sites by the
beginning of 2000 - we made a
strategic decision to develop a
package combining the essential
routines needed to sell online
with bespoke design. The
aim was to produce a package for
less than £2,000.
In April 2000 IDx Interactive
released it's e-commerce package
- Futurestore. Now in its
11th year Futurestore has over 500 users.
In 2008 we continue to develop
and enhance the Futurestore
package to ensure sites look
good, are easy to use and
optimised for the most
up-to-date search engine
criteria yet provide practical,
cost effective solutions for
small businesses. |
